Issue:
Front wiper blade judder during working
Cause:
In order to solve customer claims of wiper blade judder problem, probably need replace wiper blade / arm / motor / windshield. This release is aimed at guidance for dealer accurately diagnose wiper blade judder problem.
Action:
Firstly, follow Topix 501-16 procedure to proceed testing and inspection. If issue is not fixed, execute more inspection as below:
1. Try to reproduce the phenomenon complained from customer, a video record is required. It is normal for the fish tail to swing in a small range on both sides of the wiper blade.
 
2. Check whether the outer surface of the front windscreen is plated with water repellent film or hydrophobic. Check the method as shown in the figure, and save to verify video;

3. If it is found that the front windshield is coated with water repellent film or hydrophobic on the outer surface of the front windscreen, use " Ceric dioxide(CeO2) for glass" powder to clean the front windshield. The cleaning steps are as follows:
a. Sprinkle water onto the outer surface of front shield glass.
b. Use a wet towel to apply CeO2 powder to the front gauge glass. Use 5-10g of each windscreen.
c. After ensuring that the outer surface of the front gear is covered with cerium dioxide, gently wipe it with a wet towel, wait 3-5 minutes, and rinse with water.
After completion, confirm again whether the hydrophobic phenomenon is eliminated. If not, clean up the part again and record video after cleaning
4. Raise EPQR for assistance, attached failure video from step 1 and water repellent film confirm video from step3,4.

Caution：
The water repellent film leads glass surface severe hydrophobic, easily leading wiper blade judder & noise issue and decreasing blade service life. Do not apply water repellent film on front and rear windscreen, or it will impact warranty.
