There may be noises from the seat cushion on the comfort seat while the ventilator is switched on.
There could be several possible causes:
1.) Broken fragments of the cushion may have fallen into the ventilator, thereby preventing
smooth running (see enclosure).
2.) The ventilator may come into contact with the inlay between the cushion and upholstery.
Service measure:
Reveal the inlay (partition net) in accordance with the BMW Repair Instructions 52 17 415 and proceed as follows:
For cause 1:
If fragments of cushion are found in the ventilator, remove them and, if necessary, also replace the
cushion part of the seat in accordance with BMW Repair Instructions 52 17 415.
For cause 2:
If the ventilator is rubbing on the inlay (partition net), replace the inlay with a new
"seat inlay" (BMW part number 52 10 9 168 681).
Reassemble the front seat in accordance with BMW Repair Instructions 52 17 415.
