1.) There is a lateral seat movement felt during turns and sometimes normal driving.
2.) Seat front left, makes noise if the backrest is under pressure.
Front seat track, stick slip noise and feelable moving of the pivot pin bolt.
Servicemeasure:
1.) Disassamble carefully doorside plastic finisher from seat according to Repair Manual 52 17 ... (see
attachment 1).
2.) Disassamble lower track cover doorside finisher according to Repair manual 52 17 ... (see
attachment 1).
3.) Locate the pivot pin bolt and cut off the plastic wire-tie from the anchor cable (see attachment 2).
4.) Disconnect the anchor wire and tie it off to keep the way free for the disassembly of the pivot pin bolt.
Disassemble the pivot pin bolt with a T-45 Torx bit (see attachment 3).
5.) Install the new pivot pin bolt (BMW partnumber 07 14 9 182 835) and fix it with Torque 30 +/- 3 Nm.
The large shoulder of the pivot pin bolt must fully seat itself against the inner bracket when fully
tightened.
6.) Reconnect the anchor pretensioner wire into socket and secure the wire with a zip-tie at original
position (see attachment 4).
