Complaint regarding noise during electric adjustment of the steering column and during the easy entry function.
During a vertical adjustment, a humming is heard shortly before the lower end position is reached.
The steering column hums loudly during an axial adjustment due to unfavourable friction
characteristics (slip-stick effect).
In the event of a customer complaint, apply approximately 0.5 ml Berulub SSG 46 lubricating
grease (service kit BMW no. 32 30 6 784 061). Caution, apply grease only to the axial guide area (see attachments 1 and 2).
The service kit contains 1 syringe including the Berulub grease required. If your workshop has the Berulub SSG 46 grease in stock,
it is not necessary to order the service kit.
