The head restraint cannot be removed.
Vehicles concerned:
E70 with option 456 (comfort seat) and special accessory "DVD Advanced" (monitors on the back of
the front head restraints).
Production period: start of series production to 10/2007
The front head restraints are secured to meet the requirements of the crash test. For this reason, the head restraints cannot be removed upwards in the normal way.
Remove the lock screw before removing the head restraints.
To do this, remove the monitor and remove the upper trim from the backrest.
Remove the lock screw from the head restraint guide.
