Attachment of the support part for the footboard connection to the body not water-tight. Water could
therefore be allowed to penetrate the vehicle interior.

Left, 51 77 7 167 707. Right, 51 77 7 167 708.
Part number of screws: 51 63 3 412 262.

It is suspected that the fastening points were not being sealed if the support part was
being replaced or footboards were being retrofitted.

Service measure:
If a support part is to be replaced or a footboard retrofitted, the fastening points of the support part to the body
must be sealed with Sikaflex windscreen cement.
The height of the Sikaflex seal should be approximately 5 mm.
The windscreen cement should be applied around the threaded insert.
