Steering fluid leakage, losing the power steering

1. The torque of the banjo bolt connection from the Dynamic Drive expansion hose to steering pump is
not correct.

2. The banjo bolt and/or the sealing ring are damaged

In case of customer complaint:

1. Verify the torque is appropriate with 26 Nm click-off tool while securing the pressure line from moving.
Please notify that you verifikation the setting properties with the torque 26 Nm. If banjo bolt moves prior
to 26 Nm click-off, please appropriate with the torque 33 Nm. Drive the car such that the steering fluid
reaches operating temperature (also perform commissioning test if option 2VA adaptive drive is
available). Verify leak is gone.

2. If leak is still present, verify that banjo and steering gear surfaces / threads are free of contamination
and scratches, have flat sealing surface. Use new set of sealing rings (32 41 6 783 886) and banjo bolt (
07 11 9 906 464). Fasten connection per repair manual 32 41 037 and ensure that the pressure line is
secured while torquing. Verify leak is gone.
