Squealing noise from the front wheels, evident when parking/manoeuvring the vehicle in wet conditions
with the wheels turned to full lock (left or right steering lock).
Vehicles concerned:
E53, E60, E61, E70, E83, E90, E91, E92 with all-wheel drive respectively

With the wheels at full lock, the creases on the gaiter on the wheel-side joint of the
forward output shafts are lying on top of one another.
Where gaiters are damp, this situation can, in individual cases, lead to squealing noises during manoeuvring.

In the event of a customer complaint, spray the forward, wheel-side gaiters of the output shafts
with BMW silicone spray.
