Squeeking when opening/closing the armrest lids.
Inner lid scratches on storage bin (see Attachment 1). Hinge axle position out of specification.
Servicemeasure:
Solution 1:
1.) Adding of non-visible lubricating varnish on the inner lid of the armrest in the area of the hinge over
complete length (see Attachment 2).
Solution 2:
1.) Disassemble the storage box according to repair manual 51 16 240.
2.) Disassemble the armrest module according to repair manual 51 16 176. Disassemble the left and
right armrest and cut 0.5 mm off in Y-direction of the lugs on the storage box in the area of the hinge
(see Attachment 3).
3.) Reassamble armrests and armrestmodul according to repair manual 51 16 176.
4.) Reassamble storage box according to repair manual 51 16 240.
