Malfunciton of IHKA control unit.
Only right-hand-drive vehicles are affected!
Wire harness of control unit IHKA (instrument panel) clamped between IHKA and Cross Car Beam (see
attachment 1). Wire could be damaged out of bottle neck collision.
Servicemeasure:
If IHKA does not work correctly, check routing of wire harness. If wire harness is damaged or clamped,
replace it (according to BMW Partnumber) and route it like defined. Ensure that the wire is routed below
Cross Beam and could not be clamped or damaged again.
There is no repairmanual available at this time.
