Backrest contour support in the front seats no longer working.
Felt has been affixed over the valve unit (see enclosure) and is causing the malfunction.
Measure for after-sales:
For semi-electric seat with option 0488:
Replace the valve unit (BMW part number 67 66 8 385 632) in accordance with Repair Instructions 52 13 060.
For the electric basic seat:
Replace the valve unit (BMW part number 52 10 7 039 190) in accordance with Repair Instructions 52 14 060.
For the comfort seat:
Replace the valve unit (BMW part number 52 10 7 039 190) in accordance with Repair Instructions 52 17 060.
Measure for series production:
The felt strips have been removed from this process and all parts to which felt was previously affixed
have been modified since 28.03.2007.
