Creaking noise from the foam material underneath the steering column during electric adjustment of the steering column.
Friction between the gap cover and the steering column trim.
In the event of a customer complaint: spray the area with Carbaflo KSP 105 (BMW part number 83 23 0
309 627). Do not use similar products containing silicone under any circumstances, as silicone may cause electrical failures.
Anti-friction agent should be sprayed onto the underside of the steering column trim where it may come into contact with the gap covering (see picture).
